Now more than ever, wellbeing in schools is crucial.

The UK has now reached a year since its first lockdown, and it is safe to say that COVID-19 and the continued levels of restrictions in place across the nation is unprecedented and continues to affect our lives in many ways.

It has now been over two weeks since all schools – primary and secondary – opened as part of the first phase of the government's roadmap to recovery. We recognise that pupils’ experiences of the pandemic will be varied, and hard to gauge the full impact until we completely emerge from it.

The important question is, what does wellbeing in schools look like, and how can it be achieved? We have partnered with ArchitecturePLB to look at how we can maximise the benefits of wellbeing for staff and pupils throughout the lifecycle of an asset.

Improving wellbeing can be as simple as management changes or a light refurbishment to incorporate key elements.
